One rider thankful for the postponement of the Japanese MotoGP was the Italian Valentino Rossi after suffering an injury in a motocross training accident.
The 31-year-old was sent for X-Rays after the incident, complaining of discomfort in his back following the tumble days after the Losail round of the championship.

Due to the ongoing problems with the disruption caused by the volcanic eruption in Iceland, this weekends Japanese MotoGP has been postponed.
The race due to take place at the Motegi circuit has now been put back until October after it was deemed that the teams and riders would have great difficulty in transporting the equipment [...]
