Ralph Schumacher has signed a contract to race with Mercedes-Benz in the German touring car series (DTM) for 2008.
Schumacher, who lost his seat with the Toyota F1 team at the end of last year, travelled to Stuttgart to formalise the $1 million deal with an option to extend for a 2009 drive.

Klien summoned for military service

Christian Klien has been summoned by the Austrian army to do six months mandatory military service in 2008.
According to reports from the drivers native country, he has been ordered to report for duty at Vorarlberg, however, the driver now lives across the border in Switzerland.

Ralph Schumacher has landed a test drive for DTM with Mercedes Benz after being dropped by the Toyota Formula 1 team at the end of last season.
Ralph’s spot with the Toyota team has been filled with another German driver, Timo Glock from the GP2 series.
